Ed Roland will be joining members of Guns N Roses, Def Leppard, KISS, Deep Purple, Metallica, and others for a giant tour across South America called Titans Of Rock!

Among those taking part in addition to Ed are Duff McKagan (Guns n Roses, Velvet Revolver), Gene Simmons (Kiss), Gilby Clarke (Guns N Roses, Rockstar Supernova), Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Black Country Communion), Jason Newsted (Metallica, Voivod, Rockstar Supernova), Matt Sorum (Guns n Roses, Velvet Revolver), Joe Elliot (Def Leppard), Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Steve Stevens (Billy Idol) and Vince Neil (Mtley Cre).

The tour begins in mid-April and hits the following cities:

April 21 Sao Luis, Brazil
April 22 Sao Paulo, Brazil

Even though the evening started on a somber note, musicians of all genres gathered together on Sunday Feb. 12^th to celebrate musics biggest night and to pay homage to Whitney Houston. First of the evening to take the stage were Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and let us just say, Bruce sure knows how to get the crowd moving. LL Kool J took the stage there after and led a prayer in honor of the late Whitney Houston, offering the sentiment that the show must go on. Bruno Mars performed in his usual manner, circa 1950s, and showed off some amazing James Brown-inspired dance moves while telling the crowd to get off your rich a**es. Next, Bonnie Raitt and Alicia Keys played a special tribute to Etta James, singing Sunday Kind Of Love, with Bonnie on guitar and Alicia on piano. Who knew those two could harmonize so poetically? Moving on with the evening, the first televised award was given for Best Solo Pop Performance and, not surprisingly, the award was handed to Adele for Someone Like You. After thanking her doctors and co-writer, Adele gave way to Chris Brown, who performed and danced his heart out. The second award of the night went to Jay Z and Kanye West for in the Best Rap Performance category. Changing genres quite abruptly, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson sang t You Want To Stay flawlessly. However, there seemed to be a minor electrical problem with Jasons microphone. Shifting over to rock n roll, the Foo Fighters hit the stage across the street from the Staples Center and, let us add, fans were loving it! Moving back to the main event, Rihanna took center stage with a different version of her hit We Found Love and was later accompanied by Coldplay leading, into their recent hit . The next award given was for Best Rock Performance, going to the Foo Fighters, of course, for their single . One of the big moments of the night was the Beach Boys reunion. The performance started off with Maroon 5 singing Little Surfer Girl, followed up by Foster The People performing t It Be Nice and the big moment when the Beach Boys sang Good Vibrations. One of our favorite moments of the evening has to be when Stevie Wonder did a short rendition of Love Me Do to introduce one of musics biggest icons, Sir Paul McCartney. McCartney performed like the gentleman he is sporting a white tuxedo. The fourth award of the ceremony went to Chris Browns for Best R&B Album. Taylor Swift stuck it to the man performing her award winning song in a 1920s Tennessee style. With the honor of presenting Song Of The Year, Neil Patrick Harris vowed to not crack any wise jokes, presenting it to Adele for Rolling In The Deep. Following Taylor Swifts attitude, Katy Perry took the stage with and transitioned into her new song Part Of Me. On to the next category of Best Country Album: Lady Antebellum won with Own The Night, looking as surprised as ever. After surgery and not singing for 5 months, Adeles highly anticipated performance floored audiences all over, receiving a standing ovation. Another moment that will be remembered for years to come had to be the Glen Campbell tribute. The Band Perry sang Gentle On My Mind and Blake Shelton sang Southern Night before Glen came out to perform Rhinestone Cowboy. Bon Iver won Best New Artist Of The Year, thanking everyone along with the voters for the sweet hookup. One of the somber moments of the evening had to be when Neil Portnow spoke about this years loss in the industry and Jennifer Hudson singing I Will Always Love You in memory of Whitney. Shifting more so to a party mood, David Guetta, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Foo Fighters, and DeadMau5 performed for the first ever electronica dance performance of the Grammys. In an extremely theatrical way, Nicki Manaj sang a different version of I Feel Pretty, setting her up for her song s Revenge. Sweeping the competition, Adele took home yet another award - this one was Record Of The Year for Rolling In The Deep. Not surprisingly, Adele also stole the show taking the award for Album Of The Year for her chart topping album . Crying and thanking her mom, Adele stated her album was inspiration from a rubbish relationship then announcing she had a little snot, making everyone laugh with the humble artist. Winding down the nights festivities, Paul McCartney stole the stage accompanied by Bruce Springsteen, ending in the final standing ovation of the evening.

MAGNETS & GHOSTS - A review writen by B. Love of INsite Magazine: Atlanta's Entertainment Monthly

You dont have to be a Collective Soul fan in order to appreciate this new venture from co-founding member Dean Roland, the guitar-wielding brother of CS frontman Ed Roland. In fact, in might be better if youre not, given the artful sounds of Magnets & Ghosts, which is more influenced by experimental Brit-rock bands such as Radiohead, Doves and Elbow. With Collective Soul on indefinite hiatus, Roland found a kindred musical spirit in producer/musician Ryan Potesta, who initially met Ed Roland at Bostons Berkelee College of Music and worked with the band on their 2007 album Afterwords. The duo bonded over their mutual appreciation for bands that took creative chances, with a non-traditional approach to songwriting, and Roland has clearly embraced the creative liberation that comes from a complete lack of artistic expectations. The duos recently released debut is a huge change of pace from what you might expect given Rolands involvement. While songs such as Like A Sunday come close to the mainstream accessibility of Collective Soul, the vast majority of the songs find Roland and Potesta challenging themselves as songwriters, stretching their sound so much that you might not recognize that the rocking I Want You and the piano-driven Hold On were actually written by the same band. The albums centerpiece is the title track, a haunting tune that uses a spacey guitar loop, echoing piano and multi-tracked vocals to create an almost otherworldly sound that could not be further from Collective Souls arena-ready anthems. Roland seems to have his attention fully focused on Magnets & Ghosts: He and Potesta recently launched their own label and production company. For those who found Collective Souls over-the-top anthems a bit overbearing, its definitely a welcome creative step forward.
