Kristen Worden-Harris joined the music business in 1994 after graduating with a BA in marketing from Cal State Long Beach. With her sister already in the business as Music Director of KROQ, it was a natural move for her. Kristen interned at Atlantic Records under Danny Goldberg, working with then “new” artists Jewel, Stone Temple Pilots, and Hootie and the Blowfish.
After Atlantic Records, Kristen transitioned into artist management with Ted Gardner at Larrikin Management. There she was a part of the growing success of the band Tool as well as other notable artists such as Queens of the Stone Age and The Verve. Ted Gardner, being one of the producers of Lollapalooza at the time, enlisted Kristen to go out on tour with the infamous festival in years 1995-1998. During that time, she worked directly with festival organizers in the selection of artists and was the artist liaison during the tour. With Lollapalooza, Kristen worked with such artists as Ben Folds Five, The Eels, The Roots, and Moby.
After 7 years at Larrikin Management, Kristen relocated to San Diego in January, 2001 to begin working with Rick DeVoe. With Rick, Kristen co-managed multi-platinum artists Blink-182, New Found Glory, and Angels and Airwaves. In addition to traveling all over the world, she played a key part in Blink-182’s #1-selling record Take Off Your Pants and Jacket (2001). Touring was a staple with Kristen’s artists and she helped organize such highly successful tours as Blink-182/Green Day, Blink-182/No Doubt, New Found Glory/Green Day as well as New Found Glory/Good Charlotte. During this time she worked with the Honda Civic Tour twice, in addition to organizing a trip for Blink-182 with the United States Military to Iraq and Kuwait. In 2007 Kristen began working with Fred Croshal at CEG. Under Fred, she refined her project management and marketing skills and learned the emerging CEG Label business model.
