Tone
The producer known only as “Tone” began his musical training at the tender age of 4. He started studying piano and became an accomplished player by the age of 12. He then picked up saxophone and guitar along the way in order to expand his range of musical instruments.
At 17 he started realizing his life goal of becoming a record producer and songwriter, working in the music industry. So after high school Tone went to The Conservatory of Arts & Sciences to further his knowledge as a producer and engineer.
Upon completion, Tone started interning at a studio in Oakland, CA called Studio 880. It was here that Tone was fortunate enough to work under some very respected and high profile producer/engineers furthering his education in the music business. It wasn’t long before bigger named clients began working out of the studio and asking for Tone to be involved in their sessions.
After 2 years as an onstaff producer/engineer, it was time for Tone to go out on his own as an independent producer. He felt confident that he had built up a strong enough reputation and client list to make it in the music business.
Over the last 8 years Tone has been involved in a huge variety of music and continues to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the music industry. He has worked with artists like Green Day, Santana, Chris Isaak, Third Eye Blind, Herbie Hancock, The Black Eyed Peas, and Outkast just to name a few. Tone has also worked with some of the top producers and engineers in the game including: Rob Cavallo, John Shanks, Jack Joseph Puig, Mark Needham, Lester Mendez.
