Hot Buzz Band Joins Superstars Paramore, Weezer, MGMT, Ke$ha and More East Rutherford, NJ – April 15, 2010 – The line-up for one of this spring’s most anticipated music festivals just got hotter, as up-and-coming teen rockers Kicking Daisies have been added as the youngest band booked to play The Bamboozle 2010 festival at Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, NJ on May 1-2. The heavy-shredding quartet —whose members range in age from 13 to 17— will take the stage at 7pm on May 1st, giving tens of thousands of music fans the opportunity to check out one of this year’s most buzzed-about acts, while warming up the crowds for that day’s headliner, Paramore. The annual two-day festival boasts an astonishing line-up of the biggest pop, rock and hip-hop stars including Weezer, MGMT, Drake, Ke$ha, OK Go, Say Anything, Angels & Airwaves and many more, with the complete line-up and ticket sales available at TheBamboozle.com.
Connecticut-based Kicking Daisies are poised for a breakout of 2010, as the band of teen virtuosos is quickly gaining a reputation for their energetic live shows featuring guitar pyrotechnics, mind-blowing drum solos and pitch-perfect, three-part harmonies. With songs like the hard-driving “Go,” anthemic, “Big Bang Theory,” and the reflective ballad “These Days,” the band shows songwriting maturity way beyond their years. The band is currently working on their debut full-length album with Grammy Award-winning producer Mike Mangini (Joss Stone, the Jonas Brothers), who has set up writing sessions pairing Kicking Daisies with the likes of Peter Zizzo (Avril Lavigne, Vanessa Carlton) and S*A*M & Sluggo (Katy Perry, Cobra Starship).
Kicking Daisies is fronted by lead singer Duran Visek, whose vocal chops, guitar playing and natural frontman swagger instantly gel with 13-year-old guitar prodigy Ben Spremulli, a throwback to the guitar heroes of rock’s golden age — with the skills to back it up. The explosive combo is completed with the family-bonded rhythm section of bassist Carly Kalafus and her 17-year-old sister Caitlin Kalafus, who has been named at NAMM as America’s fastest (and youngest) female drummer, with more than two million YouTube hits and an endorsement with Gretsch Drums. All four have been playing since a (very) young age and have the chops to prove it, as they continue to practice for hours every day before rocking crowds every chance they get.
The Bamboozle is an annual rain-or-shine, two-day music festival held in New Jersey. The Great Bamboozle was first held on May 30, May 31, and June 1, 2003 at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and expanded every year to include more bands and bigger venues, until the 2006 edition was held at Meadowlands Sports Complex in the parking lot of Giants Stadium. Headliners have included such top acts as My Chemical Romance, the All-American Rejects, 50 Cent, Fall Out Boy, The Roots, Sonic Youth, My Morning Jacket, Patti Smith, Panic at the Disco, Method Man, Linkin Park and many more. In 2007, the festival brand extended even further with the creation of The Bamboozle Left at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA, as well as The Bamboozle Roadshow tour at venues across America beginning in 2008.

Live Earth, organizer of the Dow Live Earth Run for Water, today announced that multi-platinum selling recording artist Collective Soul and special guest legenday Sam Moore, Grammy winning, multi-platinum Rock & Roll Hall of Fame "Soul Man" who served as inspiration for The Blues Brothers, will perform live at the Chicago event. The Dow Live Earth Run For Water is the largest worldwide water initiative on record to help combat the global water crisis, the Dow Live Earth Run for Water is a series of 6km run/walks (the average distance many women and children walk every day to get water), culminating with water education villages and live musical performances. The Chicago Dow Live Earth Run for Water event will be held in Montrose Harbor at 4400 N. Lake Shore Drive, near downtown Chicago. The 6km course will take participants down the scenic shore of Lake Michigan. Before graduating from Goucher College in 2006 with a BA in French and Music, Leah grew up in Rhode Island surrounded by musicians. Early on, her father instilled in her a love for performing and attending live shows. Further developing Leah’s love of the arts, her mother is an award winning graphic artist and worked in the industry for over 30 years.
In 2003, the family opened Main Street Music and Leah spent much of her free time helping out. She particularly enjoyed providing voice lessons to students from age 5 to 50. Finding a joy in teaching, she moved to France and taught English to Parisian high school students, successfully scratching her travel itch. She moved to California in 2010 and is thrilled to be pursuing her lifelong dream - a career in music.

Collective Soul To Perform Benefit Concerts!
On December 19th and 20th Ed Roland and Friends (Collective Soul members Dean Roland, Will Turpin and Joel Kosche) will perform two benefit concerts at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, GA. Proceeds from these shows will benefit The First Tee Of Atlanta and The Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeepers and will also include performances by local artists David Garza, Michael Tolcher, The Less and Michelle Caplinger.
The two very special holiday performances will help raise money and awareness for both The First Tee of Atlanta, whose mission is to positively impact the lives of Atlanta’s young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf. Funds will also go to The Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the Chattahoochee River, it’s lakes and tributaries for the people, fish and wildlife that depend upon them. Smokey Robinson, whose Grammy-worthy new album Time Flies When You're Having Fun, available everywhere August 25th, was hard at work in between tour dates to film the music video for "Don't Know Why", the first single from the new album.
"Don't Know Why" was the most added track at Urban AC radio in the country last week. The music video was filmed at El Dorado Recording Studios in Burbank, CA. "Don't Know Why" will be available digitally on July 28th.
